Greeley Dental Care
DMD, University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine
In the wake of a failed dental startup in 2015, Dr. Dhoon turned the near-bankruptcy into a practice acquisition in Greeley. In under five years, he quadrupled its revenue and added 18 team members. The Practice Launchpad, a book he cowrote with Dr. Chris Green, highlights how to build or acquire a practice the right way. The duo are now starting a national consulting business, a podcast and one-on-one coaching to help young doctors. At Greeley Dental Care, Dr. Dhoon established an in-house lab; he also started Colorado Surgical Institute, which is a surgical training program for dentists all over the nation.
“My wife, Dr. Bridget Remming, and I are welcoming our third child to the family. During the pandemic, I started the Colorado Surgical Institute and got all the logistical work done while things were shut down. We’re training dentists from around the nation on the best surgical techniques and efficiencies on live patients. We’re building a teaching facility; in my current facility we sold out all our courses for 2021 by June. The space will allow us to keep up with demand and provide me more space to continue to grow my flagship practice.”
