Why He Was Nominated:

Beginning at age 5, Dr. Flippen spent his childhood at Still Creek, a ranch in Bryan, Texas, for boys and girls in crisis of one kind or another. There, he trained horses and learned the value of a hard day’s work. His faith in God and desire to succeed propelled him to today, a husband and father of four and owner of his practice. He credits his success to positive influences and commitment despite humble beginnings.
