Dr. Brereton Peterkin also hosts Tooth Talk weekly on Facebook Live, fielding dental questions from the public. Founder of the charity organization Ministry of Dentistry, she works to serve vulnerable populations including victims of abuse, the homeless and working poor, foster children and veterans. She is also a mentor and enjoys public speaking to inspire pre-dental students and new dentists alike.
“Music. It’s not a dental tool, but it gets me through the workday and helps keep my patients at ease.”
“My mommy. She pushes me to be the best I can be and inspires me to have a well-rounded, balanced life. She always tells me it’s important not only to work hard with an exceptional ethic, but to play, rest and make time for those important to me. I’m grateful to be able to turn to her for support, advice and wisdom.”
“Get back to traveling the world with my family. Pre-pandemic, we traveled regularly to destinations such as Tokyo, Paris and Rome. I’m looking forward to jet-setting again soon.”
