    Kimpton Hotel Eventi

    For our eighth annual 40 Under 40 gala—sponsored by Hu-Friedy, KaVo Kerr Group and Midmark—Incisal Edge decided to pull out all the stops for a jumbo – (and Jumbotron) – sized gala in Manhattan. From May 30 to June 1, nearly three dozen of America’s top young dentists from across the U.S. took part in a professional fashion shoot at the Kimpton Hotel Eventi in the artsy Chelsea neighborhood.

    The Zen House

    For the seventh year running, youth was served. Once again, Incisal Edge has canvassed dental professionals, practitioners and industry insiders nationwide to help us determine 40 of the top dentists age 40 and under. We then brought them to New York and gave them the full glamour-puss treatment — which this year included not just a Hollywood-style photo shoot but a collection of Pop Art/Cubist portraits as well.

    The Renaissance Hotel

    The Sixth Annual 40 Under 40 photo shoot took place May 5 and 6 at the Peninsula Hotel in Manhattan: honorees, their guests, Benco Dental staffers and the photographers and stylists who made it all happen then retired to Rock & Reilly’s. an Irish pub and restaurant to let their hair down.

    It was a red-carpet event for geeks. The only thing missing was the pop-pop-pop of paparazzi flash bulbs. Th engineers and chemists who packed the glitzy San Francisco ballroom had ditched their white lab coats for tuxedos and elegant gowns. Every seat cradled a goodie bag filled with expensive swag.
