WHY HE WAS NOMINATED:

In addition to his regular practice, Dr. Christy has served as an independent contractor with the Army since 2002, providing necessary treatment to men and women who serve. He is also a teacher for the Christiana Care Health System. He previously participated in a network of private nonprofit hospitals on the East Coast. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, swimming, running and caring for his two dogs. He also enjoys treating patients in nursing homes. He finds fulfillment in dentistry, and loves to change lives, one smile at a time.
