Why He Was Nominated

Since buying his practice in 2008, Dr. Wilkins has grown it each year, even during the severe recession. He’s a true comprehensive dentist, able to do everything from fillings to full-mouth rehabilitations, all with IV sedation if necessary.

Philosophy

“Never diagnose patients by their
wallet,” Dr. Wilkins says. “Give them what they
need and decide together what they want. Treat
others as I would like to be treated. I live by the Pankey Institute’s motto: ‘Quid Pro Quo.’ ”

Something People Don't Know

Dr. Wilkins was a shooter on the USA Shooting Team, competing in the precision, small-bore rifle and airgun categories. In 1994, he won a gold and silver medal in the World Championships in Milan. In 1996, he also ran with the Olympic torch for a distance. He’s an eight-time national shooting champion as well as a six-time All-American.
