Why He Was Nominated:

Dr. Cockerham, author of two published articles and an American Board of Periodontology Diplomate, is a community advocate in Charlotte who often helps fundraise for a local cancer charity. After joining his partner, Dr. Cockerham helped his practice’s footprint grow, opening two new locations in quick succession. He’s a loving father, avid sports fan and a triathlete.

“People are starting to understand the importance of teeth, whether it’s the mouth/body connection or the benefit of saving natural teeth over an implant. My goal has always been to save as many teeth as possible, and I’m starting to see the industry turn that way as well.”
